Kron Gracie successful in UFC debut
It is 2019 and a Gracie is finally back in the UFC Octagon choking people.
Last night at UFC Phoenix Kron Gracie made light work of his opponent finishing the fight with a textbook RNC in the opening round.
With the submission win Gracie improved his overall record to 5-0 and maintained his 100% submission record.
His opponent Alex ‘Bruce Leeroy’ Caceres is a long time UFC vet. On paper many people thought the matchup would be a solid match up for the BJJ belt belt Graice. Caceres has 19 previous UFC fights not including his bouts during his time on the Ultimate fighter.
Despite this Gracie even managed to get the better of his opponent in their standing exchanges before deciding to go for the takedown. As soon as he had Caceres on the ground it was only a matter of time before he transitioned to the submission finish.
All in all an excellent debut from the 30 year old Gracie who seemed eager to get back in the Octagon again.
