Eddie Bravo Invitational 15 – Full Results
The 15th installment of Eddie Bravos submission event took place on February 17th in Burbank, CA. Following a new sponsorship deal with Muscle Pharm the event moved from Orpheum theatre to Muscle Pharm Headquarters.
The original card had billed the return of the 3 time EBI champion Eddie Cummings. However Cummings was forced to pull out with an injury which left the card without a star draw. This provided the opportunity for Jon Calestine. The Recently promoted Renzo Gravie Black Belt stepped up and did not disappoint.
In true Danaher death squad style Calestine ran through his 1st 3 opponents in a short space of time with all his wins coming by way of heel hook. He met EBI stall worth Geo Martinez in the tightly contested final and managed to take victory in overtime through the quickest escape rule.
In the combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament Ben Eddy defeated Nick Honstein to take the title of bantamweight champion.
